Global LED industry had been recovered from downturn in 2013, although the LED industry was still trapped in oversupplying, the demand from the general lighting market has been growing significantly. Meanwhile, integration and merging is the mainstream of the LED industry.  Currently, LED industry has entered a long-term ascending channel with promising future, it is expected that general lighting will exceed the LCD TV backlighting market and become the largest LED application market in 2014. China LED manufacturing industry will lead the growth in the world but will be facing more intensive consolidation. According to SEMI statistics and forecast, China LED epitaxial and chip capacity ranks first from 2015, while the number of LED Fab plant will drop 70 %. Chinese LED industry is changing from a “Pure Capacity Growth” to “Quantity and Quality Growth” and will become one of the most important players in the global LED industry.
