Dr. Donghai Wu received Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from Institute of Semiconductors, CAS in 2008. After graduation, Dr. Wu joined Tsinghua Tongfang Co. Ltd, and worked as engineer, product manager and R&D director for 6 years. He was responsible for the development of GaN-based high brightness LED products. From 2014 to 2020, Dr. Wu worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Quantum Devices of Northwestern University. His research interests include design, epitaxial growth, device fabrication and characterization of III-V semiconductor optoelectronic devices, such as quantum cascade lasers and infrared photodetectors. In Nov 2020, Dr. Wu joined Institute of Semiconductors, CAS as a full professor. Dr. Wu has authored/co-authored over 100 technical papers, published in refereed journals.
