Prof. Pingqiang Zhou

Prof. Pingqiang Zhou received the M.E. degree from Tsinghua University in 2007, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in 2012. He is now a tenured associate professor with the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University. Prior to joining ShanghaiTech University, he was with the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center as a research intern in 2011, and also with the University of California, Berkeley as a visiting scholar in 2015. His current research interests include AI for EDA, domain-specific IC design, and the security of IC and AI.

He currently serves on the editorial boards of ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs. He has been the Technical Program Co-Chair (in 2020 and 2021) and General Co-Chair (in 2022) for Asian Hardware Oriented Security and Trust Symposium (AsianHOST), and Technical Program Co-Chair for the First RISC-V Summit China in 2021. He has served in the technical program committees of more than 10 international conferences, including DAC, ICCAD, ASP-DAC, ICSICT and CSTIC.
