Dr. Hongjie Liu

The founder, chairman and CEO of Reexen Technology Co., Ltd.


Dr. Hongjie Liu founded and has been serving as CEO of Reexen Technology since 2018. She is responsible for formulating and executing the company's technology and development strategies, leading technology, marketing and other teams. She led Reexen to be a competitive chip design company focusing on brain-inspired neuromorphic Computing in Memory (CIM) and she is the inventor of 6T1C SRAM-based CIM . Her interest is to utilize the characteristics of analog circuits and combine them with digital circuits to achieve lower power consumption and higher computing power/bandwidth of the chip, so that it can adapt to the AI computing demand of the new era. Based on her achievements and strategic vision, she was awarded "35 Innovators Under 35" by MIT Technology Review (global list) and "40 Business Elites Under 40" by Fortune (China list).

Dr. Liu received her Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich, Switzerland, in 2019. She researched on Mixed Signal Neuromorphic Chips and Deep Learning for Event-based Vision Processing and Ph.D. dissertation topic is Neuromorphic Vision for Robotic Tracking and Navigation. She received the M.S. degree in Integrated Circuit Design (with Highest Honor) from TU München (TUM), Germany and joint degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2013. Her B.S. degree was in Electronic Science & Technology from Jilin University, Jilin, China in 2010.
