Since 2018, Dr. Zhang has been with HFC for advanced semiconductor technology development.
Prior to HFC, Dr. Zhang was a Director of Advanced Technology Development of SMIC for 8 years, responsible for developments of 28nm and 14nm unit modules and N+1 process integration. Prior to SMIC, Dr. Zhang was an Integration Manager at TD of Chartered of Singapore (later GlobalFoundries) for 12 years, including 3 years at IBM, USA as an assignee, for 0.25um - 40nm developments.
Dr. Zhang is currently an Adjunction Professor to Zhejiang University. During his semiconductor industrial careers, he had also been an Adjunct Researcher Fellow to National University of Singapore; Professor to Shanghai Institute of Microsystem & Information Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Industrial Supervisors to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively.
Dr. Zhang obtained his Ph.D. degree at Australian National University, Australia in 1995, and worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Sydney, Australia until 1998.
Dr. Zhang holds 27 US patents, and has authored or co-authored over 40 technical papers, published in refereed journals.
