Lining Zhang is currently an assistant professor at Peking University (PKU) Shenzhen, China. His research interests include semiconductor device physics, compact modeling, circuit simulation algorithms, and neuromorphic computing, around a theme of contributing to model-driven designs of modern and emerging computing architecture and systems. Especially, he has a great interest in interdisciplinary areas for advancing design automation technology, with one example of pushing the idea of intelligent device modeling with machine learning techniques at its early stage. His group has recently been involved in research of design-technology co-optimizations (DTCO) of memory devices (Ferroelectric Tunnel Junctions, Phase Change Memories) and logic devices (Gate-All-Around transistors, Tunneling transistors).
