Dr. Chen received his B.S. E.E from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Xi’an, China in 2006; his dual Erasmus Mundus M.S. from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Leuven, Belgium and Chalmers Tekniska Högskola (CTH), Gothenburg, Sweden in 2008; and his Ph.D from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), in collaboration with imec in 2013. He has been a researcher in imec ReRAM program between 2013 and 2014. Since 2014, he has been with SanDisk and Western Digital (after SanDisk’s acquisition by Western Digital) as Technologist and assignee in imec. He is currently in charge of Western Digital Silicon technology pathfinding collaboration with imec, with focus on memory technologies, packaging technologies and related logic / Lithography technologies. He authored / co-authored > 70 publications and > 10 US patents. His total citation (by Google Scholar) reaches ~ 3000 by 2019 Nov.
