Prof. Jun-Wei Luo received Ph.D degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the Institute of Semiconductors CAS. His research interests include theoretical study and computational design of materials for post-Moore Silicon electronics, on-chip light sources, and quantum bits. He has published more than 120 research papers (including Nature (1), Nature Physics (1), Nature Nanotechnology (1), and PRL (8) as first author or corresponding authors). Prof. Luo is the director of the Key Laboratory of Semiconductor Phsics and Chip Technology at the Institute of Semiconductors CAS. He used to be a Senior Scientist at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2019, and served as co-chairs of the ICTMC22 and ICDS32, two long-standing international conferences on semiconductors.
