Kaichen Xu is currently a tenure-track assistant professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He received his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore in 2018. Subsequently, he moved to Osaka Prefecture University, Japan as a postdoctoral fellow, supported by JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research interests include the hybrid laser manufacturing of flexible electronics. He has published over 50 journal articles in Nature Electronics, Advanced Materials etc. He serves as the associate editor/editorial board member of International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, Bio-Design Manufacturing and Opto-Electronic Engineering.
