Mike McDonald has devoted the last 30 years to various aspects of industrial and hi-tech process optimization. He studied both electrical engineering and mechanical engineering at the University of Utah and proceeded to work in the Oil and Gas industry, successfully developing and marketing several advanced process control equipment and instrumentation platforms. Having further refined his passion for process and asset optimization he spent several years researching and deploying artificial intelligence to drive maximum throughput and yield in a variety of applications. Mid-way through his career Mike earned an MBA from the University of Michigan which broadened his view on the economics of equipment health and asset management. Mike has worked for Advanced Energy for 15 years where he currently serves as the Vice President of Global Services and continues to develop products, services, and strategies that enable process owners to maximize the return on their capital assets. |
