George Totir has been with IBM T. J. Watson Research Center since 2004, where he is currently a Research Staff Member in the Silicon Technology division. His research interests include surface science and interfacial phenomena, primarily as applied to ultra-clean preparation and characterization of semiconductor surfaces. Prior to IBM, he has investigated reaction dynamics on single-crystal metal oxide surfaces, as a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University. In 2006-2007 he served as the IBM Assignee to the Ultra-Clean-Processing Program at IMEC, Belgium. An ECS member since 1996, Dr. Totir holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, where he performed UHV studies of electrochemical systems. |
