Dr. Ran Liu is a Cheung Kong Chair Professor and vice dean of IT School at Fudan University. He received his B.S. at Fudan University in 1982, M.S. at Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics in 1985 and Ph.D. at Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research, Germany, in 1990. Prior to joining Fudan University, Dr. Liu worked at Motorola and was actively involved in numerous materials/device R&D projects. Prior to his employment at Motorola, he was a research scientist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Maryland, and the National Institute of Standard and Technology. He has authored and co-authored over 180 peer-viewed journal articles and over 150 conference papers. Dr. Liu is also an adjunct professor at Arizona State University in United States and a visiting professor at Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He serves as a technical program committee member for ESSDERC since 2009, MNE since 2008 and CSTIC since 2010. |
