Biography

Dr. Jonathan Yung-Cheng Chang has worked in semiconductor manufacturing for more than 23 years, including IT manager and Manufacturing manager in TSMC 200mm FAB (Singapore), 300mm GIGAFAB (Taiwan) and TSMC 450mm program; Manufacturing director in Qimonda 300mm FAB (Richmond, Virginia). He is presently Senior Director of Factory Integration in Infineon BE (11 sites, 16 factories) where he is responsible for Infineon’s BE factory integration (operation method and automation system) to improve MFG performance (Cost, Quality, OEE, CT, CLIP). Jonathan received his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Manufacturing Information and Systems, National Cheng Kung University. His research includes e-Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering Chain, MES, Advanced Process Control, Advanced Equipment Control, Virtual Metrology, Factory Automation, 300mm FAB productivity analysis, dispatching systems and Industry 4.0 implementation in different manufacturing. He has supported world-wide best semiconductor manufacturing performance in 300mm and world-wide first 450mm production specification. In Semiconductor BE MFG automation, he has led the global team with most CAMSTAR certification (modeler, developer, designer) for biggest MES roll-out in BE. He has published more than 20 Journal and conferences papers, also owned 16 patents (including China) in semiconductor supply-chain and manufacturing areas. He currently leads Infineon strategic project (CISMA – China Infineon Smart Manufacturing Associate) in China to support China manufacturing industry enabled with Industry 4.0. Also he is co-chair for Smart Manufacturing Management Lab in Xian Jiao Tong University and chairman of IEEE P2671 standard for Machine Inspection with CESI.
