President & CEO, Bei Jing E-Town Semiconductor Technology Co., LTD Dr. Allen Lu is the President & CEO of Beijing E-Town Semiconductor Technology (BEST). Through BEST, Beijing E-Town Investment acquired Mattson Technology, a semiconductor equipment company headquartered in Silicon Valley in May, 2016. Under his leadership, BEST successfully made the turn around after the acquisition. provides innovative semiconductor manufacturing solutions to the global customer base, while fully integrated with China's semiconductor industry eco-system. Dr. Lu led Mattson Technology's successful turn-around after acquired by Beijing's E-Town Capital, with revenue increasing by +150% in the first year to over $252M, and a healthy profitability of $20.5M. Dr. Lu and his Mattson team strive to build a leading semiconductor equipment company in China following a path of being global and market-driven. Prior to joining Mattson Technology, Dr. Lu was a vice president of SEMI and president of SEMI China. He transformed SEMICON China to become a largest global platform connecting semiconductor manufacturing supply-chain. Prior to SEMI, Dr. Lu served as the China Fab Program Manager of Intel's Technology Manufacturing & Engineering Group, Director of Intel China Public Affairs, and various management and technology roles in Intel's California Technology and Manufacturing Group. Dr. Lu was a key member of Intel's team driving expansion in China for manufacturing, R&D, and business development. Prior to Intel, Dr. Lu was a technologist in Applied Materials. Dr. Lu has a Ph.D. in solid state physics from the University of Virginia, and B.Sc. from the University of Science and Technology of China. |
