Chu Qing received his
Bachelor's and Master's degree at XI ' an Jiaotong University from 1989 to
1996, learning under the Academician Zheng Nanning. He has been employed in the
field of communications, semiconductor and investment for 19 years. He worked
in the senior management in Huawei, Hisilicon and DT Mobile, and now is the CSO
and VP of Huawei, and also is the founder of several important fields
especially the mobile and micro-electronics both in China and the World.
As the CTO in Holley, he was
the major director of R&D in China's first mass-produced base station, the
major director of the globally first broadband software radio base station’s
prototype plan and released the China's first mobile phone chips (CDMA system).
As the deputy general manager of DT Mobile, general manager of Mobile Devices
Department, he released the first solution of TD-SCDMA mobile phone chip in the
world. As the VP of Hisilicon, the general manager of Wireless Business
Department, he released the first solution of China’s first WCDMA + GSM mobile
phone chips. He is one of the major
pioneers of international broadband software radio technology industry, gains a
number of international patents.
He
founded Huawei incubator as the director of Innovation and Incubation Center, and
was the pioneer in high-speed communication, eHealth, new energy and other
areas. He also was one of the most successful and experienced investment team founders
in China semiconductor industry, held more than ten successful investment and
acquisition projects in China, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Israel, Singapore
etc. Now, he is the major sponsor of Semiconductor Technology Research Institute,
organized by SMIC, Hisilicon, European Semiconductor Research Institute,
Qualcomm, and is received by Chairman Xi Jinping and King Philip of Belgium.
